Lenten Reflections 2010
During Lent this year I am doing a series of reflections in my church parish. These are not academic in nature for those academics who may follow my site. Here is the bulletin insert that I wrote up describing them. You can take a look at the dates too to see when there may be more available:
Holy Ghost will have a series of Lenten reflections in conjunction with our evening service on Ash Wednesday and on every other Monday night of Lenten vespers. The reflections will be presented by Jeremy Thompson. The theme is "Lessons from History" and the titles of the talks are "Wandering in the Wilderness," "Spiraling Downward," "Living in Exile," and "Fighting for Restoration." The time for the reflections will be 7PM on 02/17, 03/01, 03/15 and 03/22. There are flyers in the gathering area with the dates and times on them. In addition to serving as Youth Director here at Holy Ghost, Jeremy is also a doctoral student in Biblical Hebrew and has taught graduate level scripture courses at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans.
