BiblioBlog Rankings August 2010

Again, no surprises here …

*** Joel Watts ***

is BiblioBlogger of the month …

Just kidding ;-) .  It was really …

*** Jim West ***

again.

Not much else to say right now, or really that I can say right now…  Like many of you my teaching just started for the semester …At any rate, check out where you are.

* And, by the way, please make sure before you email me that you are checking your Alexa “ONE MONTH” stats before you comment or email me that you are not ranked where you should be.  Not trying to be ugly, but this happens at least once a month.  The rankings that you see at the bottom of your website are your three month stats.  It may be that the stats are genuinely wrong, though I’m not sure why.  But, please double check them before you email

BiblioBlog Rankings June 2010

Well, I took last month off.  I know it was very hard to get on without me, but I’m back to it this month.  You may have noticed how much I have dropped in the rankings.  Because I know that’s why all of you check … “Where is Jeremy at in the rankings this month?”  Don’t worry about me.  I’ll be fine ;-) … Joel on the other hand will never be alright … For the third month in a row he is in the #2 spot behind …. imagine drums rolling …

The Misogynist BiblioBlog Rankings for April 2010 … (More Cowbell Edition)

By: Gerador Zero

*Update – Sabio Lantz should have been included on this list, but was not. He would have ranked in at #42 with an Alexa of 826739. So, everyone else bump yourself down a notch. My apologies to Sabio for the error.

If you don’t get the title for this post, check out the comments HERE and then this post HERE.

And, the winner is a newcomer ;-) , but first a quote from Joel (misspellings and all – I think he means “therefore”).  Here’s something Joel said in the comments section last month: “Thanks for the work, oh, and could you add Jim’s blog? I would like real competition. I’ve tried to buy him off, pray for him, but nothing works to get him to come back. Now, as Number One, I am employing a little known rule which allows the Number One to place someone on the list. There for, in accordance with ancient custom and tradition, for all the Sons of Abraham, I am place Jim West on the list.” …

*Jim West*

And, congrats to everyone else who made the Top 50 this month.  There was one newcomer in Fundementally Changed, but still no individual women bloggers.  I’m not real sure how to handle that situation without it seeming patronizing, but maybe J. K. will post a list once again this month.  But, I promise I really do love women and want to see them happy and successful and here’s why:

My Girls

And, now without further ado … the list:

BiblioBlogger Theme Songs – Ferrell Jenkins

I don’t know professor Jenkins, but he is one of our bloggers about the lands of the Bible.  And, this one seemed appropriate:

BiblioBlogger Theme Songs – Mark Goodacre

I think Mark is very proud of the university where he teaches.  So, it is only proper that for his BiblioBlogger theme song he has a song that repeats the word Duke probably over 100 times. If you guessed “Duke of Earl” you got it right.  Enjoy!:

BiblioBlogger Theme Songs – Targuman

Targuman deserves a very special theme song because he is the only BiblioBlogger (at least that I know of) who is a superhero.  His superhero moniker “Targuman” I think refers to his unique ability to protect BiblioBloggers from the nefarious plans of those who would seek to do them harm using only “tar” and “gum.”  Otherwise I would have no idea how to make sense of the word “targum” ;-) .  But, you know it must be lonely being the only superhero who is also a BiblioBlogger.  That’s why Targuman gets contemplative superhero music for his theme song, i.e. Five For Fighting’s “Superman.”  Be sure to think about Targuman’s feelings the next time he saves you from certain disaster.  It can’t be easy to be him.

BiblioBlogger Theme Songs – Rodney Thomas

Well, Rodney wanted P.O.D. “Revolution” for his theme song.  But, as you may see a trend developing, you don’t get to choose your own theme song.  Rod’s URL is “Political Jesus.”  “Revolution” would have been okay, but what Jesus could possibly be more political than President Jesus.  That’s right … Rod’s theme song is “Jesus for President.” Enjoy (if you can enjoy the thought of Jesus as President)!

BiblioBlogger Theme Songs – Qohelet

Qohelet is probably my best blog commenter as he probably is for many of you as well.  And, I sincerely appreciate that so he gets his theme song before many of you on the BiblioBlog list (if you get them at all).   He wanted his theme song to be “Bullet with butterfly wings” (see comments).  Would have been a good choice, unfortunately, you cannot choose your theme song (like McGrath is trying to do), unless you’re me.  Qohelet here’s yours (if some of you don’t know why, read your Bible more):

BiblioBlogger Theme Songs – Me

Well, before anybody tries to tag me with a theme song (which technically you can’t because I run stuff), I should claim my own.  You may ask why I get a cool rock song for my theme song … well, because I’m awesome.  And, it’s got my name in it and everybody use to sing it to me in high school ;-)

And, yes it is the radio edit:
